A special Christmas edition of my beginner sewing class is coming this November!

Designed for ages 9+ with no previous sewing experience needed, students will learn how to confidently use a sewing machine while creating four Christmas-inspired projects they can keep or give as handmade gifts.

THE PROJECTS

- Christmas Tree Pin Cushion
Our first project! Students will make a green pyramid pin cushion with a yellow ribbon loop and colourful pins that turn it into its own little Christmas tree.

-Christmas Ornaments
Students will create sweet felt ornaments inspired by Christmas cookies! They’ll practice sewing around fun shapes, adding simple decorative details, stuffing, and finishing each ornament with a hanging loop

- Large Drawstring Gift Bag
A larger version of our beginner drawstring bag—perfect for wrapping a special Christmas gift and using again year after year.

- Christmas Stocking
Students will practice sewing curves and putting together a project they can bring out every Christmas.

- Stuffed Duck
Our final project! Students will learn to work with curved seams, smaller pieces, turning, stuffing and finishing to create their own handmade stuffed duck.

Throughout the four weeks we’ll build skills step-by-step, including machine basics, straight stitching, backstitching, hems, curves, turning, stuffing and finishing.
